Active Learning Centers, a winner of Lehigh Valley Magazine's Best In The Valley Child Care award as well as The Morning Call's Top Workplaces, is currently seeking qualified school bus drivers to transport children to and from school daily and transport to and from field trips during the summer.

This position is year round. Unfortunately we are not hiring for seasonal summer drivers at this time. 

Our available opportunities are in the East Penn and Parkland School Districts. We currently complete over 30 bus runs a day ensuring the safe and fun transport of children Kindergarten through Middle School. Drivers utilize vehicles from our fleet of 24-30 passenger buses, 10 passenger vans and regular size vans.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining the vehicle.
  • Reporting issues to the Center Director or Transportation Manager.
  • Managing behaviors positively while children are on the bus.

Ideal candidates will:
  • Posses a CDL C with P and S Endorsements.
  • Have experience with school age children.
  • Be timely and conscientious.
  • Be willing to work on a team that is like family.

This is a part-time position, with part time or full time during the summer months driving children for our summer camp programs. Local/nearby drivers are preferred. Runs include morning, mid-day and afternoon with varying other opportunities for field trips, etc.

Candidates with a regular license, willingness to drive 5 to 10 passenger vans and an interest in completing their CDL Training may also apply. Active Learning Centers will provide the option to furnish this training and cover the costs pending a signed 2 year employment agreement.
