About the Job
We are currently seeking a part time employee to join our collaborative, fun-loving and passionate team of early childhood educators at our now SIX-time, AWARD WINNING organization! This individual will work collaboratively with the classroom team to extend age-appropriate activities for children in a fun and active environment at Active Learning Centers. We are focused on ensuring a family atmosphere and having fun while we work and strive to make trusting and caring relationships with the families we serve.
Openings are available at all of our facilities including Easton, Emmaus, Fogelsville and Trexlertown for AFTERNOON Positions in various age groups.
Specific Age Group Openings Include:

- School Age After-School.
- Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten 2:00-7:00.
- Toddlers 2:00-7:00.
- Floater Staff, Afternoons.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Teachers with carrying out any activities on their weekly Lesson Plans and instruct children in activities designed to promote, physical growth (gross motor and fine motor), language, literacy and intellectual and creative growth in an active, age-appropriate way.
- Assist in executing a fun and safe learning environment and design center-based opportunities for learning and engaging activities.
- Follow schedules and routines in each individual classroom based on age-appropriate expectations and allowing time for play and exploration as well as instructional time and small group activities.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with families and co-workers.
- Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress and all pertinent daily information
- Maintain the health and safety of all students.
- Understand and comply with all regulations relating to child care including safe sleep practices, feeding, toileting or diapering, supervision, cleanliness and play.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields.
- 2400 hours working with children (paid or volunteer).
- Credits in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology or another human service field required/preferred.
- Physical, TB and Clearances - all current.
